How this is calculated

Exclusive: GST = amount × rate ÷ 100. Inclusive: GST = amount − amount × 100 ÷ (100 + rate). Intra-state: CGST = SGST = GST ÷ 2; inter-state: IGST = GST.

Worked example

₹1,180 including 18% GST: GST = ₹180, net ₹1,000.
